Neil in a few words

I am an experienced IT project manager, developer, and data analyst. I lead an MSc programme in Accounting and Finance at De Montfort University, Leicester, where I support around 150 students each years to complete their dissertation projects. I teach them how to use Excel, R, Matlab, Refinitiv and Bloomberg. I am highly knowledgeable about financial datasets, and highly skilled in the statistical analysis of data for business research, especially in finance and accounting.

My background is in technology and finance, including Record Currency Management (1998-2000) and Barclays Global Investors (2000-7) where I worked on the development team for iShares. I was responsible for data management at UBS Global Asset Management (2007-9). I have an MBA in Technology Management from the Open University, and a PhD in Management from the University of Leicester.
