    Here, I am responsible for the development of new features, improving the existing platform, and refining the code. Since it is a small company with limited resources, I am also responsible for the designs (UI) and occasionally contribute to development in PHP Laravel. In addition to the product management role, I assist the founder with marketing and making strategic decisions. It has become quite an extensive role, but that’s how it goes with startups.

    At Send AI, I helped establish structure during the rapid growth of the development team within four months. At the start, the founder was developing the software with an intern, and there were already multiple open positions for developers and a designer. I helped implement a more agile and predictable workflow by introducing two-week sprints. Additionally, I set up the corresponding tools in Jira, including retrospectives, roadmaps, and user stories. This enabled us to better predict when specific new features would be completed after a few sprints. By the time I finished, a team of four developers was actively working.

    I also shared my prior experiences from running my own software company, including hiring staff, marketing, sales, and more.

Sam heeft ons geholpen met productstrategie, productroadmap, productdesign, testen en bedrijfsstrategie, maar de samenwerking ging verder dan ik vooraf had verwacht.

Sam verdiept zich grondig in wat strategisch relevant voor ons is en denkt actief mee hoe hij kan bijdragen, zelfs als dat buiten zijn oorspronkelijke rol valt. Dankzij zijn proactieve houding heb ik op veel meer vlakken met Sam samengewerkt dan vooraf in de rol was beschreven.
Sam combineert commercieel strategisch denken met kennis van code én gevoel voor aantrekkelijke designs. Dat maakt Sam een hele goede, ronde product manager.
Bovendien brengt hij contacten in waar hij eerder mee heeft samengewerkt. Sam is gedreven, betrokken en komt met nieuw ideeën—ik ben erg blij dat ik met 'm mag werken!
