Aleksandra Bokova

At the studio ReAnimation, I was working as a student 2D animation support for a project for Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam

The role was an internship position. I worked as a visual development artist, concept artist and 3D artist on the VR experience "The Shape of Us" about human connection with nature. I researched visual impact of VR spaces, the movement of the body within the game, and learned to create engaging experiences with simple optimized assets in Unity.

At Bas Kosters studio I worked with the artists on a project called "OOBOO - The Chase For a Good Fortune", which explores how magical thinking and superstition can grant a sense of agency, offering comfort against the chaos of modern life.

I was responsible for the world-building and character animation, translating Bas's vision and characters into living creatures, each with a distinct personality expressed through motion. The final work combined my animated pieces with Bas's hand-made fabric screens, creating a dreamlike dialogue between the digital and the tactile.

The exhibition was hosted by MU Hybrid Art House in Eindhoven from the 15th till 25th of November 2024 and was supported by Stimuleringsfonds.
