Boris Reuderink

I founded the company Cortext to work as an independent machine learning expert on practical problems. Past solutions included components based on natural language processing (NLP), recommender systems (RS), network analysis, time-series forecasting and multiple instance learning. When standard solutions are not sufficient, I design custom machine learning methods. Among my clients are TNO, FuelUp, the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NIN), Zeta Alpha Vector, AlgorithmWatch and Edwards Life Sciences.

Studied economic and technical feasibility of providing brain-computer interfacing (BCI) technology to game developers. In these dense five months, we built a technology demonstrator using the consumer-grade EEG headset from Emotiv, and found valuable partners in the EEG hardware, the domotica and gaming industry. This work was funded with an STW valorization grant, and proposal for a bigger, follow-up grant has been submitted, with the aim of overcoming the funding-gap to start the BCI company Senzing.

With this intermediate postdoc position, I worked on research infrastructure for the BrainGain project. Meanwhile I obtained a STW valorization grant phase 1 for assessing the viability of starting a brain-computer interfacing company. A patent was filed for the core machine learning technology that underpins the BCI company Senzing.
