Laurence in a few words
Hi, I'm Laurence!

I write bespoke web copy and content for coaches, entrepreneurs, and marketing and content managers. I mix conversion marketing, UX, SEO, and storytelling magic to help them truly connect with their audience and boost their sales.

I write in English and French.

My typical projects include writing:
- Website copy (Homepage, About Us and Services pages, etc.)
- Blog posts
- Social media captions/posts
- LinkedIn About sections

I am also interested in writing landing pages and sales pages.

I specialize in well-being, personal and professional development, business coaching, education, and training: these topics are connected by a sense of growth that matters to me.

That said, I happily serve clients in other industries as well. My clients' list includes companies in the fields of languages, sustainability, travel, and educational toys, for instance.

I also translate from English to French (and sometimes, depending on the project, from French to English).
There again, my focus is on web copy, blogs, and social media posts. I also translate marketing content like white papers and legal documents such as Terms and Conditions and Terms of Use (which you typically find on websites). I perform legal translation strictly from English to French.
I am not into highly technical work, so if that's where the bulk of your translation needs is, I advise you to look for a technical translator.

I love being creative, but my background in project management means I do have both feet on the ground. And that I am serious about deadlines ;)

I'd be happy to share my portfolio with you, so please don't hesitate to ask me for it.
(I have not uploaded it here on MALT because the requested photo/video format does not work so well to share full pages of copy).

    TECH
    December 2015 - November 2016 (12 months)
    Amsterdam, NH, Netherlands
I collaborated with a team of 8 designers to deliver online and offline projects.

    My main responsibilities included:
    • Scoping, planning, and monitoring projects and requests to meet deadlines, quality and budget requirements
    • Managing work allocation and production planning, combining method and flexibility to fit the changing business needs

📌 What I enjoyed the most was a special assignment I got the chance to take on: as a certified Scrum Master, I coached a team on how to implement Agile Scrum as a way of working. I found it very stimulating to look at how the team was operating and identify how we could make it more agile in a way that would fit the various roles. Combining a good sense of analysis and creativity was key here.

I led a team of 7 professionals to successfully drive web portal projects, from design to delivery in an agile environment. After working in various international corporations, this was an opportunity to operate in a small Dutch web agency.

    My main responsibilities were:
•Budgeting and planning projects, using industry tools and creating templates customized to the needs of the team/projects
•Monitoring projects' progress through close collaboration, anticipating and mitigating risks and issues
•Through empathy and effective communication, building successful relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors despite aggressive deadlines and a competitive context
•Supporting customers and the project team in the definition and development of product requirements through to production deployment

My projects ranged from £1500 change requests to £250 000+ initiatives. They included the creation of new web portals (ex: e-commerce, event management application, etc.), updates to existing web portals, as well as strategy and architecture projects (platform and system upgrades).

I hired Laurence as a ghostwriter for the content creation of a business e-book in English. It was a pleasure working with her: she is an excellent listener, she is very open to feedback, guides you in the discussion to make sure she understands your needs, and makes corrections accordingly. I can recommend Laurence for her professionalism as she can for instance provide you with clear work deadlines and guides you through the process. She is also clear on what is and is not included in her offers, which I appreciated. Last but not least, she adopted a style that fitted the brand book guidelines, and the content she wrote, combined with the final design of the e-book, gave a very professional result.

“I needed an urgent revision of the editing of my site content and a flyer which I wanted to launch the next day. I contacted Laurence and asked her to help me.
Despite her busy schedule, Laurence fitted my request into her work plan and started to work on it immediately.
The work was done professionally, presented clearly, on time and with kindness!
I appreciate Laurence’s knowledge of the English language very much. I saw how her language skills helped enhance my text. She gave it "the punch" needed to catch the reader's attention.
It was a real pleasure to do business with Laurence, and I look forward to another opportunity of working with her.”
